Pimples are primarily caused by a buildup of dead skin cells, and by the residue left by some face products that contain Mineral Oil, Lanolin, and Shea Butter. There are four ways to help clean out your pores and give new life to your face: exfoliation, retinoids, chemical peels, and Isolaz.
You can find effective exfoliation products that are sold over the counter. There are countless exfoliation products in stores that can wash the pores out and remove dead skin cells. You can also treat yourself to a professional exfoliation treatment at a spa or medical clinic.
Retinoids require a prescription from your doctor. Topical retinoids prevent dead skin cells from sticking together and blocking pores and speed up the skin's natural rate of exfoliation. However, your acne may worsen before it improves.
Chemical Peels and Isolaz
Chemical peels and Isolaz treatments should be performed under the guidance of a medical professional.
Chemical peels can be used to get rid of acne, as well as acne scarring. They remove the top layers of the skin, where the most dead skin cells are present, and prevent pored from getting clogged. Most chemical peel treatments offer visible results within two weeks.
Isolaz is used for stubborn acne and takes care of all the basic acne catalysts: Bacteria, inflammation, oil, and clogged pores. Isolaz uses suction to clean out the pores and pulses light to target the oil and bacteria. It generally takes more than one visit for patients to achieve desired results, but most patients see improvement after their first ten-minute session.
