Piedmont Reproductive Endocrinology Group (PREG) is a boutique style infertility practice consisting of two Board Certified Reproductive Endocrinologists, Dr. John E. Nichols and Dr. John F. Payne.  The physicians and staff of PREG are dedicated to providing state-of-the-art fertility treatments with care and compassion that is second to none.  Our services consist of In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF), Donor IVF, ICSI, Intrauterine Insemination and all testing needed for a complete diagnostic patient evaluation.  PREG

Physician Bio:

John E. Nichols, MD, FACOG is a Board Certified Reproductive Endocrinologist specializing in the treatment of infertility.  Dr. Nichols completed his Reproductive Endocrinology Fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX.  He completed Residency and Internship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham after graduating with honors from the Medical College of Georgia.  Dr. Nichols established Piedmont Reproductive Endocrinology Group in 2003, in order to provide his patients exceptional, private, cost effective caring infertility treatments.  Dr. Nichols is a member of the AMA, ASRM, and ACOG to name a few.  He has published many medical articles and has been on a multitude of research projects. 

John F. Payne, MD, FACOG joined PREG in 2007 after a distinguished 15 year military career.  He is a Board Certified Reproductive Endocrinologist specializing in infertility treatments. Dr. Payne completed his Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology at Duke University Medical Center.  Dr. Payne completed an Ob/Gyn internship and residency at Madigan Army Medical Center in Fort Lewis, WA.  He is a graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina.  Dr. Payne has held many academic appointments and has performed extensive research. He has had many publications and presentations at national conferences.
