Do hair dyes cause damage?

Women who dye their hair often and have been doing it for years may experience hair loss caused by the dye. It can cause weakening and increased fragility of the hair shaft and increase breakage. When hair loss is being caused by dyeing, it usually is an allergic or irritant reaction. In these cases, there would be a history of redness and swelling.
