Surgisil's Perma Facial Implant...a must-have for anyone wanting lip augmentation

If you are tired of getting your lips injected with Restylane or Juvederm or have always wanted those plump, kissable lips, we now have the answer to your dreams.  Thanks to Surgisil, a company based out of Dallas, for making an implant called the Perma Facial implant, a semi-permanent solid silicone implant that can be used for lip augmentation. 

The implant is designed to be permanent, but may be removed at any time because the implant is made out of a material that human tissue doesn't grow into, like other permanent implants.  Not only that, but the procedure is done in the office procedure room rather than an operating room which saves a huge expense and improves the recovery period (not needing general anesthesia).

The procedure itself takes about 15 minutes and is done with some mild pill sedation, as well as lidocaine (like when you get a filling at the dentist) and local injection of lidocaine into the body of the lip.  When augmenting the lip with a dermal filler such as Restylane or Juvederm, the body of the lip can't be injected with lidocaine because it would make it impossible to see where to put the filler, but because the Perma Facial implant goes beneath the lip tissue it doesn't matter if the shape of the lip is distorted with lidocaiine.  All of this equals a more comfortable procedure.  The procedure is tolerated well and all of our patients have been completely pleased.  Several of our patients have had their implants switched out for larger ones.  The implants come in three sizes and always result in a totally natural look.
