Plastic Surgery Statistics
According to statistics compiled by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, 12.1 million cosmetic surgery procedures were performed in 2008. Up 3 percent from the preceding year, the increase in procedures performed could partially be explained by the popularity of mommy makeover combination procedures, as well as the baby boomers' interest in plastic surgery.
