Porcelain Veneers Testimonials
Porcelain veneers can have a tremendous impact upon a person's life. After all, the smile is usually one of the first things people notice when they see you; having a beautiful smile can make people feel more confident about the way that they look and feel.
Here are some porcelain veneers testimonials that illustrate how veneers can truly enhance a person's life.
Virginia in San Diego, CA
"Well when I was young, around three, I got sick and had to take tetracycline. That's an antibiotic that they found out can pit and discolor teeth, which is what happened to me. Once my adult teeth came in, they were yellowed with pits, people used to ask me if there were something stuck in my teeth. That happened in middle school and high school, and my self-esteem really took a hit because of it. I never wanted to smile, I always felt like people would notice something was wrong with my teeth when they did.
"Eventually I got bonding to fill the pits in, but they got stained a lot easier than my teeth did, and eventually became discolored even more than my teeth were. They had to be redone a few times too, it was never natural looking. Discouraging, to say the least. When I was in my early 30's I finally got porcelain veneers, and they were amazing. Truly, really changed my life for the better. I mean, you want people to see your smile, not your teeth, and that's what happened! When a friend was coming closer and I recognized them I could give a big smile and they'd smile back! I started using my smile as a tool practically, as a way to get a good response out of people. They are nice and white too, and don't stain like bonding does. I know it's a cliché, but I really feel like my smile lights up my face now. I can't tell you enough how much more comfortable I am now because of it, really changed my life."

"I got porcelain veneers this fall on my front four teeth. They look great, even better than I'd hoped. (I had a significant gap in the front.) I am really pleased with how they look. (I did the whitening procedure first, so they look really white and very attractive.) They sent me several models of teeth before I gave the final approval. Don't be afraid to be picky about how you want them to look. Once you have them done, they are with you a long time!
"With that said, I have had some problems with my bite and the feel of the veneers in the back, where they wrap around the teeth. The dentist has smoothed the edges on a number of occasions and that helped a lot. She has also had to make bite adjustments three times and it's still not perfect...but getting better with each adjustment. (Small adjustments are better than big ones, so they don't overdo it.)
"It felt very different for some time because you are used to your teeth and this changes them. Additionally, I had to get used to the feel of my tongue on my teeth and how it affected my ability to articulate. (That was a surprise to me, but shouldn't have been, if I'd thought about it. I just had never thought about the way teeth contribute to speech.) So I had to practice pronouncing certain words. In time it got better... "I have adjusted fairly well (and it's getting better all the time) and I couldn't be more pleased with how they look. I am glad that I made the decision to do it, despite the things that I've had to work through. Good luck!"

"I had a stain on my front teeth that was just awful, a little yellow splotch across my two front teeth. Always had a closed mouth whenever I smiled. If I forgot it'd show up in pictures with friends, God I wanted to die it was so embarrassing!
"Anyway, I saved up the money and got veneers for it, it was a long time coming but I'm so glad I got it! Now I smile wide whenever I can! I think that one positive thing kind of started to grow, I started feeling like I didn't have to hold back like I used to. When I went to my art showings or parties I could socialize without worrying about it, I could just be myself without this constant nagging reminding me I didn't look like I wanted to. For me, at least, it was worth the wait."
Cheryl from Poughkeepsie, NY
"I love my porcelain veneers! When we first discussed having veneers put on my teeth I was a little reluctant, because of the cost. But the other sacrifices I made to save up the money, was well worth it, a hundred times over. Now, when I look back at old photos, I want to trash the ones that show my teeth. I wish I would have done this years ago. You have no idea what it's like to be able to smile without having to worry that people are grossing out on your teeth. I actually feel pretty when I smile. My husband loves my new teeth also... I have friends whose teeth I used to envy, now they envy mine. How's that for a turnaround!"
