Zerona®
The Zerona® non-invasive fat removal treatment was introduced to the American market in 2009. Since then, it has been touted for its ability to help patients lose inches off the waist, thighs, and other areas of the body. What's more, unlike liposuction, the Zerona® treatment is not associated with any pain or downtime. Learn more about how the Zerona® fat removal treatment works by reading the sections below.
The Zerona® Procedure
Patients that opt to undergo Zerona® fat removal treatment will be asked to commit to a minimum of six treatment sessions spaced at least one day apart but no more that 72 hours apart. During each treatment session, which last about 40 minutes, the cold laser energy from the Zerona® system will be applied to the targeted treatment area. The laser light causes the fat within the cell to emulsify (liquefy); the emulsified fat then moves out of the cell and is absorbed and expelled by the lymphatic system.
Zerona® Results
In order to obtain the best results from the Zerona® fat removal procedure, patients should not miss any of their scheduled treatment sessions, and should adopt healthy habits before, during, and after treatment. Patients should drink at least eight cups of water each day, consume a healthy diet, increase their fiber intake, exercise, and avoid alcohol and caffeine in order to achieve the best results after the Zerona® treatment is complete.
In a study conducted by Erchonia®, the makers of Zerona®, patients lost an average of 3.64 inches off the waist, hips, and thighs.
Zerona® Costs
The cost of six Zerona® treatment sessions typically costs about $3,000. Many doctors offer Zerona® discounts or specials, so ask your local clinic about any Zerona® deals that they may have.
