About the Practice
Dr. Marvin J. Grendahl has provided world class eye care to those in and around Anchorage, Alaska since 1977. After expanding his practice several times, he founded Grendahl Eye Associates in 1996. The practice is now one of the largest in Alaska. Our Anchorage office offers the latest advances in LASIK, PRK, and cataract surgery. As one of the largest and most experienced eye care providers in Alaska, our staff excels in treatment of refractive errors, cataract surgery, glaucoma care, pediatric ophthalmology, corneal care, as well as cosmetic procedures such as BOTOX� Cosmetic and Restylane� therapy.
Doctors
As the chief surgeon and medical director at Grendahl Eye Associates, Dr. Marvin J. Grendahl has been practicing laser vision correction of over 10 years. Dr. Grendahl studied at the University of Minnesota. He then went on to an ophthalmology residency at the world renowned Mayo Clinic. Dr. Grendahl has taught refractive surgery techniques in China, Russia, South Africa, and the United States. He has also received additional surgical training in Australia and Mexico. At his Anchorage, Alaska practice, Dr. Grendahl was one of the first physicians to perform LASIK surgery with the advanced VISX Star excimer laser. He also introduced the YAG laser and the foldable intraocular lens to Alaska patients and developed the Anterior Segment Eye Service at The Alaska Surgery Center. Dr. Grendahl has been widely published in magazines and edited �Sudden Vision,� a book on refractive surgery.
