About the Practice
The Center of Reproductive Medicine (CORM) is a full service medical facility dedicated to the treatment of infertility and related conditions. Founded in 1993 by Dr. Vicki Schnell, the center has focused on providing the latest in Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) that will give each patient the greatest chance at achieving pregnancy.
Since April of 1997, CORM has performed all ART procedures at our in-office surgical center. The center has a fully equipped procedure room, state of the art IVF laboratory and adjacent recovery area that offers both privacy and comfort for a less stressful atmosphere for the patient. We feel the addition of this surgical suite has been a key to our success. Everyone is more relaxed and our staff can maintain better control of environmental factors that may adversely affect outcomes. Reduced costs and decreased patient charges have also been a major benefit of in-office care and has allowed us to pursue a more aggressive managed care role for our patients. Controlling our costs has been the reason why CORM has consistently been the least expensive provider of ART services in the Houston area.
Lower costs do not mean lower quality. CORM has always been driven to provide the latest in proven technological advances that offer the patient the best chance of achieving a successful pregnancy. Dr. Schnells philosophy of education and training has kept her staff up to date on the latest breakthroughs in Assisted Reproductive Technology and Infertility therapy. CORMs continuing education policy encourages the staff to seek opportunities for improvement by taking courses, attending seminars and visiting other successful ART programs that have demonstrated innovation or exceptional success. We think youll find our staff well informed on the latest developments in the field of reproductive medicine.
