About the Practice

Jacksonville Eye Center is the only LASIK surgery practice in the Jacksonville-Brunswick, Florida area to exclusively use the Allegretto Wave™ laser – the fastest laser system in the world – in concert with IntraLase® bladeless LASIK. Our practice was the first in Florida to offer completely blade-free LASIK surgery and we now make this innovative procedure the focus of our practice. Our primary LASIK surgeon, Dr. Robert Schnipper, is a pioneer in cataract surgery, the implantation of intraocular lenses, and RK (radial keratotomy). He was the first to bring refractive surgery to the North Florida area and has performed over 15,000 laser eye surgeries, including RK, ALK, LASIK, PRK, and LASEK.
