Robert D. Martini, DDS

Dr. Martini is a Prosthodontist practicing aesthetic and restorative dentistry for over 10 years. He has a reputation as a perfectionist for paying attention to detail while designing and sculpturing beautiful smiles. He is well known in the dental community and over the years dental colleagues have referred themselves and their closest family members to him.

Having specialty training in Prosthetics, Dr. Martini not only offers his patients beautiful smiles, but fully functional, pain-free and long lasting restorations. His comprehensive approach to Cosmetic dentistry and level of personalized reatment is unsurpassed. He teaches cosmetic and restorative dentistry at Hackensack University Medical Center and lectures on Cosmetic and Aesthetic Dentistry. He is an instructor for the Aesthetic Advantage�s Hands-On Aesthetic Post-graduate Program which is presented at NYU College of Dentistry and teaches fellow dentists superior clinical skills in cosmetic dentistry utilizing cutting edge techniques and advanced technology to create beautiful smiles.

After completing a one year General Dentistry Residency at Long Island College Hospital, Brooklyn, New York, where he studied Geriatric Dentistry, Operating Room Dentistry, Emergency Care and more, Dr Martini completed his Post Graduate Prosthodontic Specialty training while on staff at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York. His training included surgical placement and restoration of dental implants, cosmetic makeovers, maxillofacial restorations and oral reconstructions involving multidisplinary dentistry. He taught Implant dentistry and has presented his work to various local and national dental organizations. He has been published in national and international dental journals.

Dr. Martini maintains membership in professional organizations including the American Dental Association and the American College of Prosthodontics. He is an active member in the New Jersey Dental Association being currently the Vice President of the Bergen County Dental Society and Chairman of numerous committees. Among some of the organizations are the International College of Oral Implantologists, American College of Oral Implantologists, and the Implant Prosthodontic section of the ICOI.

He has taken certified courses in CPR, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Emergency Medical Technician and Patient Management with IV Sedation. On a personal note, Dr. Martini attended NYU College and NYU Dental School.


James A. Ruggiero, DMD

Dr. Ruggiero received his Bachelor's Degree as a premedical, predental student from Seton Hall University. At that time he was president of a local chapter of the American Cancer Research Society at Seton Hall.

He received his D.M.D. degree from the New Jersey College of Medicine and Dentistry, (now called the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey) and was elected to the National Honor Dental Fraternity - O.K.U.

He did a one-year oral and Maxillofacial surgery internship at Kings County Hospital, Brooklyn, New York, after which another post-graduate year in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery at NYU School of Dentistry and Bellevue Hospital. Here he had courses of study in internal medicine, surgery, pathology and operating room anesthesia as well as numerous other medical and dental disciplines.

He then spent another year as Chief Resident in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery at Kings County Hospital, Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Ruggiero has also participated in post- graduate studies of Periodontics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

He is an attending dentist and Section Chief of Clinical Dental Education-Department of Dentistry at Hackensack University Medical Center. Here, he participates in the teaching of dental residents in their General Dental Practice Residency program. He has admitting privileges and operating room privileges. He also has a parenteral sedation permit to perform intravenous conscious sedation for patients at Hackensack University Medical Center.

Dr. Ruggiero has taken the course for CPR (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support). He is a member of the American Dental Association, the New Jersey State Dental Association and the Bergen County Dental Society.

He is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), and has attained much more than the necessary credits for his Mastership in the Academy (MAGD), which requires hundreds of hours of postdoctoral continuing education.

He is a member of the Panky-Dawson Study Club of New Jersey as he has studied and participated in comprehensive general, restorative, and cosmetic dentisty at both institutions in Florida.

Dr. Ruggiero has also taken numerous courses and training in Implantology, Temporo-mandibular Joint Disorders and Orofacial pain.
