About the Practice

The Balin Eye & Laser Center has been treating the eye care needs of Hampshire and Hampden Counties for over 20 years. As a pioneer in the field of vision correction, Dr. Balin was the first surgeon to perform laser vision correction in western Massachusetts and has performed over 5000 procedures. Dr. Balin is the only surgeon in western Massachusetts to offer iLASIK- a procedure so advanced that it is the only procedure approved for all military aviators.

As a cataract specialist, Dr. Balin performs no stitch cataract surgery using monofocal and multifocal lens implants including the ReZoom, ReSTOR and Crystalens. Patients who choose a multifocal lens implant will most likely not need to wear bifocals or reading glasses to do up-close activities like read the newspaper or watch TV.

The Balin Eye & Laser Center offers a complete range of eye care services from comprehensive eye exams to cosmetic eyelid surgery. Our staff is dedicated to providing our patients with the highest quality care in a friendly and caring environment. We welcome new patients to our practice.
