Dr. Katzen is Board Certified and fellowship trained and has contributed to the ophthalmic literature as an author of numerous articles and text books, including peer reviewed scientific journals.

Dr. Katzen has been practicing in the Palm Beaches for over two decades. He has gained an International reputation for his volunteer efforts in reducing blindness in Third World countries throughout his 20 year involvement with Project Orbis.

He is often invited to lecture on LASIK at the major national and international meetings on a variety of refractive topics, including standards of care in the laser operating room.

He has been honored by the American Academy of Ophthalmology for his efforts in teaching surgical skills to other ophthalmologists.

Dr. Katzen belongs to an exclusive inner circle of international eye surgeons who perform over 2,000 surgical procedures each year.

Dr. Katzen is one of 20 surgeons in the U.S. selected to perform F.D.A. clinical trials on new refractive technology.

Dr. Katzen was among the first eye surgeons in the country to have his own vision corrected through LASIK.
