About Our Eye Care Practice

Dr. Gary Kawesch is the founder of Laser Eye Center of Silicon Valley. A practicing LASIK surgeon in San Jose, California since 1999, and working as a practioner since 1992, over the last 12 years Dr. Kawesch has performed over 30,000 refractive surgery procedures. The first surgeon in the Bay Area to offer wavefront-guided custom LASIK, though he is not exclusive, Dr. Kawesch specializes in treating professional athletes. At his 13,000 square foot state-of-the-art center on Saratoga Avenue, Dr. Kawesch offers a variety of procedures to decrease or eliminate your dependence on eye glasses and contact lenses. The doctor also owns a slightly smaller facility in Pleasanton, California.

  • Dr. Kawesch is licensed to practice medicine in the state of California. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS), and the International Society of Refractive Surgery (ISRS). Board Certified, American Board of Ophthalmology.
  • Dr. Craig Bindi is a board-certified ophthalmologist, a licensed physician and surgeon. Dr. Bindi specialized in Ophthalmology at the U.C. Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, after graduating from Creighton University's School of Medicine. In addition to being trained as a Comprehensive Ophthalmologist, he spent an additional year studying and researching Refractive Surgery and Corneal Physiology at the University of Arizona.
