Our surgeons specialize in the technique known as the LAP-BAND® System. The LAP-BAND® System is inserted through laparoscopic surgery, which is an advanced form of bariatric surgery we use here at our Long Island office. A less invasive technique for performing bariatric surgery, laparoscopy uses a camera and customized instruments to offer minimally invasive surgery with shorter recovery times. Dr. Geiss is also able to utilize a single incision site, as he’s qualified for the advanced Single Incision Laparoscopic Surgery method, more frequently known as SILS.
