Dr. Mattioli has performed more than 21,000 LASIK procedures, in addition to having the LASIK procedure performed on himself. He has received numerous honors and awards for his contributions to the science of ophthalmology, and has been published in the Journal of Refractive Surgery, the American Journal of Medical Science, and other leading national medical publications. Dr. Mattioli remains an active member of both local and national ophthalmology and medical associations, and is certified to use Alcon, Bausch & Lomb, IntraLase, and VISX laser platforms that enable them to find the best fit for each patient’s unique corrective surgery. He is a native Houstonian and speaks fluent Spanish.

While attending the prestigious Oglethorpe University, Dr. Lampkin received the LeConte Award for the most outstanding senior in a Math or Science major. Since then he has received his medical degree and has performed thousands of LASIK procedures on patients. Dr. Lampkin is certified to use Alcon, Bausch & Lomb, and VISX laser platforms that enable them to find the best fit for each patient’s unique corrective surgery.
