Welcome to DocShop's Patient Education Page for CK, an innovative treatment for vision correction.
So, what is conductive keratoplasty?
C-K is a non-laser technique used to treat mild and moderate farsightedness and presbyopia, or "aging eye." This condition causes the eye to gradually lose the ability to focus on objects close-up or in print.
C-K uses mild heat energy to reshape the cornea, allowing an improvement in the way light enters the eye.
Ideal Candidates for C-K are patients who are at least 18 years old and who are free of eye disease, have a vision prescription that has been stable for a year or more, and whose vision is within the correctable range for C-K.
Be sure and check out the details of this procedure on our patient education page devoted to C-K. There, you will find information on some of the risks and benefits, candidacy requirements, and what the actual procedure entails.
C-K produces almost immediate results, involves little-to-no pain, and has helped many patients reduce, or even eliminate, the need for eyeglasses or reading aids.
Contact a C-K physician near you through DocShop-dot-com, and find out if this revolutionary treatment is for you.
