Celebrities Who Have Had Twins - Did They Undergo Fertility Treatment?
The world is fascinated with the lives of celebrities, so it should come to no surprise that when a celebrity becomes pregnant, it is deemed newsworthy. That news becomes even more special when it becomes known that the celebrity is pregnant with twins.
With fertility treatments being more commonly performed these days, and many of these treatments resulting in multiple births, it is no wonder than whenever the news reports a celebrity is pregnant with twins, the public automatically assumes fertility drugs or treatment were the cause.
In some cases this is true. In others, it is not. And in some cases, we many never know the truth. Here are some of the most popular celebrities that have given birth to twins, and whether or not they conceived their children using fertility treatments... or will admit to doing so!
Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O'Connell
Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O'Connell are the proud parents of a set of twin girls, Dolly and Charlie. Both parents deny having used any type of fertility treatment to conceive; however, one has to wonder with Romijn giving birth in her mid-thirties.
Lisa Marie Presley
Lisa Marie Presley, daughter of Elvis Presley, is another celebrity to have given birth to twins. At 40, Presley denies having used any method of fertility treatment, which is plausible given that her father was a twin and twins run in the family.
This pretty woman gave birth to a set of twins in 2004, and it is reported that they were the result of in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment, even though multiple births do run in Roberts' family.
Actress Jane Seymour gave birth to a set of twins thanks to the help of IVF. Though she did suffer from some complications with pregnancy and birth, her twins thankfully survived and turned out quite healthy.
Jennifer Lopez and Mark Anthony
This famous duo also gave birth to a set of twins. However, Lopez claims to have conceived her children naturally, without the assistance of any type of fertility treatments.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt
News reports claim that Brad and Angelina did use IVF treatment to conceive the latest addition to their growing brood (a boy/girl set of twins). However, reports state that the treatment was not the result of difficulty in conceiving but impatience at having to "try" to get pregnant.
Actress Angel Bassett is the proud mother of twins conceived with the assistance of fertility treatment. Basset opted to use a surrogate mother to help give her the children she desired, and the twins were born with no complications.
