Heidi Montag Says She Regrets Wasting Money on Plastic Surgery

To the list of those who think Heidi Montag shouldn't have had all that plastic surgery, add the name Heidi Montag. She and her ex-husband boyfriend Spencer Pratt say they are deeply in debt after blowing $10 million on a lavish lifestyle and Montag's failed music album.

Montag has been widely criticized for a binge of plastic surgeries that included a record ten procedures, including breast augmentation and liposuction, in one day. Critics say she turned herself from a cute "girl next door" into a grotesque parody of a woman. Her main concern seems to be the money she spent.

"I wish I hadn't wasted so much money on surgery," Montag said recently, revealing that she and Pratt owe $2 million in taxes and are facing bankruptcy.

Had the couple not spent $2 million on her music CD, they might now be just flat broke, rather than in debt. The CD received terrible reviews and has had sales to match.

Montag and Pratt admit they spent money frivolously, on the assumption that their participation in the MTV show The Hills would last for several more years. The show was canceled earlier this year. The couple said they were forced to move into a guesthouse on Pratt's parents' property when they could no longer pay the $35,000 monthly rent on their Malibu mansion.

"We were immature," Pratt said in a recent interview. "We did this to ourselves and feel like idiots."
