Filed Down Teeth

Filed Down Teeth

updated

Filing down the teeth is popular in tribal culture. The Balinese filed their teeth because they believed they represented invisible evils and negative emotions. The Aborigines did it for spiritual reasons, and the Mayan's did it to add jewels to the teeth of the upper class. Filing the teeth may not be the most popular form of body modification in this day and age, but there are some similarities between those doing it today and those that did it in the past. Here's a look at people who file down their teeth.
